If you would like to test/rent SUPs at our Ridersheaven Store, here are a few important guidelines to ensure everything runs smoothly during the rental process:

Do I need to show ID when renting or testing?
Yes. You will need to show ID for every test or rental of equipment. We will make a copy of your ID on-site for formal purposes, to ensure we are covered in case of theft or similar issues.

Can I reserve the rental/test equipment in advance?
Yes, but you must pay half of the rental price as a deposit.
Unfortunately, due to many past reservations that were not picked up, we were forced to take this step.

If I rent a SUP during the week or over the weekend, what is the rental period?

1. During the week, you can rent SUPs between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM each day.
2. Over the weekend, you can pick up the SUP, for example, on Friday evening and must return it by 10:00 AM on Monday. If you return it later, there will be an additional charge of €35 per day for the rental/test.

You are also welcome to rent SUPs for the weekend or longer. However, the total price and duration must be clarified and noted in advance at the shop.

What happens if the rental/test equipment gets damaged during use?
Since our boards are frequently rented out, we regularly maintain and check them for damage. This ensures that you receive a SUP in perfect condition, and it also protects us in case you damage the SUP. If damage occurs, the SUP you return will be assessed to determine the issue, and it will typically be forwarded to your liability insurance.

How do I protect myself when testing/renting on-site?
If you decide to test a SUP at our store, we will set up a rental agreement between Ridersheaven and the renter.
All necessary information will be recorded to ensure that everything is contractually regulated on both sides.

How and where can I learn Stand Up Paddling?
You can learn how to handle a SUP from our friends and partners at the SUP School Allgäu and the team at Zedride by Lake Alpsee near Immenstadt.
You can book courses and dates directly with the respective providers listed on our website under SUP Rental.

If you hire SUPs from us, we will provide you with the following for hire and testing:

Allround boards - Easy to ride, perfect for beginners and families or simply for relaxed riding on the beautiful lakes in the area.

Touring boards - Slightly faster but also more wobbly than "normal" all-round boards. Perfect for longer tours with a little more challenge and more speed.

Inflatable paddle boards are by far the easiest to transport as they fit into a large rucksack when rolled up and uninflated. This means that all your equipment (board, pump, repair kit, fin and paddle) is perfectly stowed away and fits in any car.

As soon as you arrive at your chosen lake or river, all you have to do is inflate the stand-up paddle with the pump up to 14-15 PSI, depending on what the valve says.

Just fit the fin and you're ready to go!
